10 years a general manger of technical services for Australia's largest pork producer (Bunge-Meat Industries —now Rivalea, Australia)


6 years as CEO of Ausgene a genetic technology company based in Bloomington Illinois.


13 years as CEO of two Pork CRCs. First from 2005 to 2011 (CRC for a globally competitive pork industry). Second from 2011 to 2018 (CRC for High Integrity Australian Pork).

CRC experience covered all aspects of sow welfare and reproduction, eating quality, animal health and antibiotic reduction and resistance and carbon reduction.


Wide ranging knowledge of all aspects of pork production, global competiveness, developments in the science of pigs and pork production and how the biology and business interact to affect profit.
